Farewell To Friction With Smoovall!

Hey everyone!

Todays post probably couldn’t have been uploaded at a better time due to this weather. I’m definitely more of a skirt/dress wearer as I’m definitely more of a bottom-heavy kinda girl. As my thighs, hips and bum are larger than the rest of my body, most shorts just do not work for me. In an aesthetic or comfort kind of way. It’s FAR too hot for tights so I am going to be getting my chunky pins out to make sure I’m keeping my temperature down.

Speaking of those chunky pins, I do not have thighs that don’t meet in the middle. The majority of people don’t. If you’re a fellow thigh-touching individual, you’ll more than likely know the struggles and discomfort of a horrible thing called chafing. It’s basically just a posh word for friction burn of the skin. This can be caused by skin-on-skin or clothes-on-skin friction so it can actually affect quite a few areas of the body, depending on what you wear and your general activity. It has turned into a rather taboo subject to talk about. People seem to think it relates to being overweight which totally isn’t the case.

My struggles are currently solely on my inner thighs and boy does it sting. I’ve tried many different things to try and create a barrier over the years I’ve suffered with it. Unfortunately I’ve never found a foolproof thing that works every time. I personally really don’t want to sit sweating in a pair of those ant-chafe shorts either. But – I had a little complimentary package popped through my door a few weeks back containing two cans of something called Smoovall. I’ll be giving you the lowdown of this little gem of a product today.

A Little About Smoovall

The brains behind Smoovall recognise that chafing is a really common problem that needs addressing. Most importantly with an affordable product that ACTUALLY works. After trying many solutions (like us all) they believed they could create an all-in-one, non messy and effective product. With an issue like this, they believe it’s important for a product to be user-friendly which is why they invented Smoovall Skin Contact Spray. It’s invisible on the skin, takes no longer than a minute to apply and dry and works for around 4 hours per application. It’s also the perfect size to pop in your handbag, is cooling on application and has a lovely, fresh scent to it.

So, What Do I Think?

After trialling this over the past few weeks, I can confirm I am IN LOVE with it. I’ve worn a skirt or a dress nearly every day so have been using this spray consistently. Not one burn, sting or mark in sight. I’ve only actually been applying it once a day generally too and it does me for the entirety of it. I walked 20,000 steps one day around Paignton Zoo in a Summer dress and didn’t even need to top up! It’s actually quite an odd sensation as wearing it doesn’t feel any different to not wearing it. It’s not sticky nor dry, it’s as if it isn’t even there.

I also have quite sensitive skin. Especially on my legs as I suffer from eczema and grass allergies but this caused no reaction whatsoever. I love the subtle scent and I love how it feels refreshing and cool when you apply it too. It’s just what you need on a hot day. Just for reference, this is not a miracle worker as it won’t stop you sweating but it creates such a good barrier. I honestly cannot recommend it enough and will be repurchasing to use throughout Summer when my stash runs out!

Smoovall is £12.99 for an 80ml bottle and you can find their site here if you’re interested in purchasing or knowing more! I’ve been using one of my bottles to carry round in my bag with me just incase and one at home to apply in the mornings and neither have ran out yet.

Have you tried Smoovall or any fabulous anti-chafe products?

’Til Next Time,
BTB Xx

Why have I not heard of this sooner? This sounds like heaven in a bottle! I always end up using a Lush powder, but if the weather is as hot as it’s been recently, it doesn’t work as well. Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I need to purchase ASAP! My chubby thighs thank you so much!

I absolutely NEED this, I’m so glad that it works – really considering purchasing some. Chafing is probably the number one thing I hate about Summer, I don’t think I’ll ever obtain a thigh gap so this spray would honestly be life changing. I’m like you in that I just can’t wear shorts, I much prefer to throw on a lightweight dress. It’s amazing how it lasted you all day at the zoo as well! I was a little wary because I have sensitive skin on my legs like you but if it was fine for you, I’m going to have to pick some up! x

  3. I’d love to give this a try! My mermaid thighs give me hell in the summer. I’m a pear shaped gal, so I’m bigger on the bottom than the top and my legs kiss in the middle like almost everyone else. I prefer to wear dresses and skirts because they compliment my figure better – but I just can’t bring myself to do it because I know the burn I’ll get when I do. Cycle shorts can only do so much! To hear that’s a product that actually works makes me so excited!

  4. This sounds like a god send!! I don’t suffer so much when I’m wearing trousers, but dresses and skirts definitely makes it worse (I can’t say it’s THAT bad, but even being little I still get it a bit!) I bet all the girls will be swarming when they hear about it – especially if it can outlast a day of walking around a zoo! Great post lovely! ❤️❤️

  5. Omg I need this! You’re totally right – it’s your shape, not your weight! I’m size 8 but bottom heavy and if I go tight-less, I have this issue! I can be a right nightmare 😭

    Thanks for the heads up!!

How have I not heard of this yet?! I love wearing dresses but most of the time chafing puts me off of wearing them which sucks. This is definitely a product I need in my life. Thank you for sharing!

Never heard of this before but it sounds like a miracle worker! I’ve luckily never chafed (?) before as my legs were always quite toned however this year they are so much bigger that I’m starting to feel it. If I had more money I would 100% be investing in it! Great review Alice ❤️
