Bomb Cosmetics Heart Mallow and Bubble Up Soap!

17th September 2017

Hey everyone!

You may have seen my recent posts about Bomb Cosmetics products here and here but I just can’t get enough of them and as I’m part of their #BombBabeSquad they were kind enough to send me these new products of theirs to try out! You can also use the code ‘BLACKTULIP10’ to get 10% off one of your purchases with them until the end of September 2017! (I don’t gain anything from this, it’s simply just something I’ve set up as a treat for my readers).

The weather has been super all over the place recently due to the transition into Autumn so on a horrible rainy day recently I decided to pamper myself and use the lovely “Candy Heart” mallow and “Bubble Up” soap and might have just burned my Redcurrant & Cassis candle whilst doing so…

Candy Heart Mallow // £2.99

The mallows are slightly smaller and more concentrated than the bath blasters, they don’t offer the same novelty of being able to watch them fizz away into a thousand pieces like a little firework but they do offer an abundance of moisturisation and nourishment in the form of essential oils and natural butters that melt beautifully into the bath to penetrate the skin.

The Candy Heart Mallow is as cute as a button with its bubblegum pop colours, ice cream scent, heart topper (aswell as a few embedded in the base) and metallic sprinkles. As the purpose of the mallow is more for nourishment rather than fancy colours, I wasn’t expecting much of a show but when running it under the tap, it immediately filled the bath with creamy froth and eventually turned all the water a light baby blue with tiny pink hearts roaming on the surface – very pleasantly surprised!

This mallow releases lovely cocoa and shea butter into the water aswell as ylang ylang and bergamot essential oils to help destress and de-toxify. I felt it made the water feel thick with the substances it released which reflected in how soft and luscious my skin felt when (eventually) dragging myself out of the tub. You could definitely get two uses out of one of these in my opinion as they are so rich, I even felt like I’d used a hair mask as it ended up feeling way silkier and easier to tame than usual! I thought that was a brilliant little addition of these mallows as you’re killing two birds with one stone and for only £2.99!

Bubble Up Soap // £2.99

What makes Bomb Cosmetics soaps so special is that they’re all super gentle and made entirely by hand meaning they were made with extra love and care, they also contain glycerine – this ensures that they don’t dry the skin out or remove anything other than dirt or grime. They are also all 100% vegan!

Bubble up is a funky and fascinatingly fruity soap that oozes lemony and earthy vibes which made me really excited as I am a HUGE sucker for anything citrus. When inspecting the soap at first, I was slightly disappointed as it didn’t smell so strong through the packaging like BCs other products do but as soon as I unwrapped it, the scent literally hit me in the face which instantly resolved any doubt I had.

I’m not entirely sure whether these soaps are just designed for the hands but I decided to use it all over anyway to get the full experience, this one contains lemon and neroli essential oils which are known to help fade scars and reduce the size of pores. On contact with water the soap lathers up nicely and is easily usable and gentle all over the body, the smell gets even stronger when the soap is wet which leaves a really nice after-aroma on the skin too. Although, honestly, I can’t remember the last time I used a bar of soap – this is definitely something I’ll be picking up more of from Bomb Cosmetics now I know how lovely they are. Especially as they have some other fabulous scents I’m excited to try such as “Swizzle Stick” and “Parma Violet Wave”, yum! Bubble Up gets a big thumbs up!

Have you tried any of the cute mallows or swirly soaps from Bomb Cosmetics yet?

’Til next time,

They look so lovely! Ah, I haven’t had a bath in ages, but I don’t have any products to throw in it. What’s the point of sitting in clear dull water nowadays? I need to invest in some bombs and these products sound divine! Good thing my birthday is coming up soon, might pop these on the list!
