Staying Fashionable This Festive Season With Boohoo!

11th December 2018

Hey everyone!

It’s really not long until Christmas now and oh my am I EXCITED for this year. It’s going to be full of food, family, friends and fun. After an extremely long year, I’m really looking forward to some down time with the people I love the most and spending some quality time together this festive season.

As I have been a bit of a scrooge in years before for all sorts of reasons, I’ve never properly owned a Christmas jumper. I’ve owned jumpers with patterns on that could pass as one but never exclusively a jumper that can only really be worn during the festive season. I’ve actually been sent two this year (lucky me!) but in this post I’m working with Boohoo to celebrate Christmas Jumper Day which supports Save The Children! It’s this Friday on the 14th December and if you purchase certain Christmas jumpers from their website in preparation for the holidays, they’ll donate £5 to the charity. You can even get involved in the day and donate yourself by heading over to their website here for more information!

Festive Season Fashion

As we all know, I’m partial to more of an alternative style and I already own a lot of red so I went for a bottle green and white jumper called “Reindeer & Snowflake Christmas Jumper”. I would link to it but it’s actually now sold out in the colour I have (oops, sorry). But you can find some very similar styles in Boohoo’s Christmas jumper collection here.

Now I am very much for comfort in fashion, despite my Dr Marten obsession. I was extremely tempted to shove this jumper on with the classic black leggings and boots as usually, I live in a variant of them during the cold months. However, I did just treat myself to a long overdue black faux leather skirt. The only one I had was lined with a really odd material that made the skirt completely ride up whenever I walked, it wasn’t pretty or comfortable. Every goth girl has to have their signature leather skirt, right? The answer is yes.

Funnily enough I saw someone on my Instagram wearing it and then I went and purchased it the next day. See, influencer marketing DOES work and I’m clearly a sucker for it. I thought tucking the jumper into the skirt might make it look really bulgy and weird but it actually didn’t and was surprisingly comfortable (and warm). The jumper is really cosy and actually a lot warmer than it looks. As we all know animal print is in at the moment, I decided to also pair it with a dark red leopard print scarf. Print clashes that actually look good are one of my favourite things.

I was a little skeptical as doubling a material can be a horrendous decision at times but I went for it and wore a black faux leather jacket, too. I actually quite liked the combination of the two. It made for quite a rock n roll look, even with a patterned Christmas jumper underneath. Of course I’d have to put some Dr Martens with it, too. My Skullweb ones to be precise. These were bagged on Black Friday and are actually classed as a “youth” pair. They’re genuinely A LOT comfier than adults aswell as being cheaper and I’m honestly tempted to stick to the youth section for all future pairs I buy…

How will you be styling your Christmas jumper this festive season?

Love the way you have styled the Christmas jumper, especially with the leather skirt and jacket to edge it up a little bit! I need a new Christmas jumper mine is a bit in the cheesy side! Xx

  5. Green is my favourite colour so naturally I love this jumper and it looks great on you! Shame there’s none left in stock 😂
I love a Christmas jumper but I mixed it up last year and got a Christmas dress instead – from the kids/teens section of Tesco. Bit like yourself with your youth DMs. It’s always a bit of a treat to save money isn’t it 😂

This jumper looks super cute with your leather skirt, and Dr Marten’s! I’m a Doc Marten girl too!

YOU LOOK PHENOMENAL 😍😍😍 I actually wear my Christmas jumper the same way with tights, faux leather skirts and heels to match. I’m glad Boohoo is giving to a children’s foundation, that’s what Christmas is all about and it’s cool to see brands give back in such a cool way.

Wow you look absolutely amazing here girl, you really suit this jumper and I love that this one is festive but not in your face! Wearing a Christmas jumper with a leather skirt is so cool and so YOU, I’d have never thought of pairing these but it looks great.

Super cute jumper and I love the way you style it! I think we have similar style so I totally agree with the statement about every goth girl having a signature leather skirt haha! I definitely feel like I don’t really show my style etc on my blog so much and you have really inspired me to do it more (: x

Okay, so I’m not a Christmas jumper kinda girl, but this looks SO good on you. I love how you’ve styled it too. The skirt and docs make it look so much cooler than a typical Christmas jumper. Shame that colour is sold out! x

  13. I absolutely adore this outfit! You look absolutely incredible!

Loving the look, you’re absolutely rocking it. Christmas jumpers are one of my faves and this one is cute, shame it’s sold out in that colour. Would totally buy it otherwise.

I have never owned a Christmas jumper I can’t believe it! But I think I would style it similar to how you have. Being able to tuck it in jeans or a skirt without it going bunchy is a MUST and your outfit looks fab. I love the double leather it really sorts you and your style. Didn’t think I would be too sure on the double prints but the scarf actually looks really nice with the jumper. Green is my favourite colour and I LOVE the shade of green of your jumper, really christmassy. Finding shoes in junior that do your size is always so good and so much cheaper!! Congrats on working with Boohoo again xx

  17. I loooove this jumper and love you’ve made a Christmas jumper look so you! The colour is gorgeous and looks great with the leather skirt 😍
I need some more Christmas jumpers but the one I’ve got on today is a simple grey one with “Santa Baby” written in sequins, I wore my tartan leggings, clashing tartan scarf and converse 😎😂❤️❤️

I’ve seen double denim but I never really see double leather! Love it on you and honestly your customisation of this jumper is so cute!

You look so bloody gorgeous in these photos, I’m loving how you’ve styled this jumper and I love your hair like that as well. The pop of a red lip with the bottle green looks so fab! And you really pull off the double leather, that huge scarf looks so cosy as well. I always do exactly what you mentioned and just throw my jumpers on over a pair of leggings, I think I need to venture out and start experimenting a bit more with tucking them into skirts as it looks so nice x
