Yes I spell checked and no it’s not meant to say Valentines Day. I’m honestly not a love scrooge, Jake and I do celebrate Valentines Day but we don’t go overboard with all the commercial stuff anymore. We just use it as an excuse to spend some extra time together which is how I think most couples spend it nowadays. I’m going to admit that I don’t watch Parks And Recreation but I’ve heard a lot about Galentines Day. It’s traditionally on the 13th February and instead of celebrating romantic love, you celebrate friendship love. I personally also think that includes yourself because you also need to look after number one. Here are some colourful picks from Bomb Cosmetics that would be perfect for a Galentines Day celebration of your friends or yourself.
Fizzy Rascal Watercolours* // £4.50
Do you think yourself or one of your Galentines Day guests is THE BOMB? How fabulous is this! The first newbie of the post, “Fizzy Rascal” is a member of the watercolours range that Bomb Cosmetics has just released. Us bomb babes have had the chance to try a couple of these in the testing stages and I can confirm they look god damn amazing upon use! The watercolours bath bombs are generally bigger and create a rainbow storm in the tub hence the higher price than the regular blasters. The scent of this one is just as fruity and magical as it looks, containing grapefruit and mandarin essential oils to uplift and energise.
Love Bomb Bath Blaster* // £2.99
Maybe a bomb for someone you have a little/a lot more love for? I have tried a HELL of a lot of products from Bomb Cosmetics but what I love about them is that if I go back and look again, there’s always bound to be something intriguing left for me to get my hands on. This isn’t a product that has been released this year but it’s certainly one of their more recent additions. They’ve paired the passionate “Love Bomb” with a passionfruit fragrance to make it even more cute and fitting! It contains Mandarin essential oil much like the above but with the addition of Litsea Cubeba essential oil which is healing with a citrus aroma.
Gorgeous Tinned Candle* // £7.99
The name is a super cute sentiment in itself, I personally think this is a great one to get for yourself. You can light it every time you need to remind yourself that you’re deserving of compliments just like the one on the tin! It holds a subtly fruity scent but with creamy tones of vanilla and cocoa, too making it quite universally likeable. Bomb Cosmetics tinned candles are topped with the most adorable hearts, have an amazing scent throw and last for 30-35 hours. I can’t get enough of them!
You Had Me At Hola Bath Blaster* // £2.99
Another brand spanking new product on the Bomb site! For your more alternative friend (pick me) or someone who’s into pineapple scents. The blasters don’t provide a spectacular bath art show like the watercolours but the piped butter swirl provides incredible nourishment for the skin. By the name, scent and colours, I can only assume this blaster is inspired by Hawaii with its pastel and colourful shades and cocktail-like aroma.
A Star Is Born Watercolours* // £4.50
Last but definitely not least, a name inspired by the recent Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper film! I am absolutely in love with it and the soundtrack. As you can probably already tell from the rest of this post, I love funky shaped bath bombs. I’m incredibly excited to see the shapes and bath art that this makes (spoiler alert: there’ll be a full review of the watercolours bombs coming soon, with pictures). This one is a lot more muted scent-wise but still holds gorgeous sweet and fruity vibes.
How are you going to celebrate this Galentines Day?
