Is this weather making anyone else slightly miserable?! As much as I have an incandescent love for the sun shining, I can’t say I feel the same about the intense heat. But hey, everyone knows us Brits love nothing more than a good old moan, especially about the weather. Nonetheless, onto todays post about a lovely event I attended earlier this week. You will have seen me posting a few photos here and there on my social medias. I wanted to piece it altogether in a post to showcase the evening in one place.
Firstly, A Bit About Jewel Street
Jewel Street are a company that believe in stepping away from mass-produced products and generic designs and giving a platform to unique, original pieces of jewellery that are high quality and hand-crafted. By turning your attention to the tempting treasures at Jewel Street, you’re guaranteeing yourself a one of a kind experience with over 500 independent designers on offer on their site.
To me, the pieces they stock scream everything from femininity to fierce with inspiration from starfishes and sunshine to skulls and snakes (which we all know are my favourite). They’ve also had people such as Ariana Grande, Maya Jama and Dua Lipa wearing pieces from their site which is pretty damn cool, right?
The fabulous fashionista and PR guru Karina Marriott hosted this event at The Florist in Bristol. The event was to simply introduce the company, get the word out about some fabulous brands featured in their SS18 lookbook and to mingle and enjoy eachothers company in a beautiful venue!
The featured brand of the night was the super pretty “Posh Totty Designs”. The jewellery photographs floating around in this post are all their products including some infinity sign earrings, an incredibly cute zodiac constellation locket and my personal favourite, a personalised monogrammed signet ring (just incase you’re reading this Jake, I’d like it in Rose Gold).
Karina introduced the evening with a highly enthusiastic and thankful welcome speech aswell as diving into some detail about Jewel Street. Having someone so happy and clearly wholeheartedly invested in the company delivering a speech about it, was really lovely to witness. Karina then handed over to a lovely lady from Posh Totty Designs who gave us a few words on the inspiration behind their brand and products.
We were left for further mingling, cocktail sipping and nibbling on some fancy food offerings from The Florist before the prize draw to end the event. A highlight for me was the lavender, honey and sunflower loaf with whipped goats cheese butter, so delightfully delicious.
Unfortunately, neither I or any of the lovely ladies I was with won a prize but attending was enough of a treat! And a tote bag displaying the Jewel Street logo along with a hand written thank you note was such an adorable personal touch on exit.
A big thank you to Karina and all at Jewel Street and The Florist for such a lovely evening. I am very much looking forward to seeing such an interesting and individual business grow. Remember to pop on over to their website here and have a browse of all the incredible pieces they have to offer. You can also use my code “BLACKTULIP15” to get yourself a discount if you see anything that takes your fancy (which I guarantee you will)!
