Juvias Place Saharan Blush Volume II!

10th September 2017

Hey everyone!

Hope all your weeks have been good and you’re getting into the spirit of Autumn… although I’m not too sure what on Earth the weather is playing at right now.

Now you may or may not have heard of Juvias Place before but they’re a brand I admired from afar for a very long time. Why, you ask? Being an American brand, for quite a while they were small and independent meaning unfortunate extortionate shipping prices over here which I just couldn’t justify despite their products looking incredible.

I’m part of a few beauty and makeup groups on Facebook and I saw someone selling a few of their latest blush palettes brand new for a super reasonable price and jumped at the chance to get my hands on one, the girl selling had a friend in America to send them over for a good price meaning she could also sell a few on for good prices (of course i checked she had proof of purchase – you never know who to trust nowadays!).

Once I received the palette I instantly fell in love with it, the shades are all pinky/peachy colours bar one brown contour shade but I found that shade a bit too orangey toned for my pale skin so will have to possibly use it as an eyeshadow or maybe even a transition colour. There are 4 matte shades on the outer corners and 2 super pinky shimmers in the middle which are my favourites!

The main reason I wanted a Juvias palette in the first place was because their pigment looked IN-SANE from all the photos I’d seen. I do think the pigment in this palette is brilliant although not quite as striking as I’d imagined but it could be due to the fact that this is marketed as a blush palette and not an eyeshadow palette (despite me using it as both). Naturally, you’re not going to want your blush to be as in your face as your eyeshadow, unless you’re a drag queen in which case, go for it.

This is an eye look I did with the shades “Bee”, “Zoba” and “Sola” to show how strong and build-able the colours are.
I then used a very light stroke of the shade “Leena” on my cheeks.

All in all, this is a brilliant and versatile palette that is bang on trend for all the pink love going around right now, definitely a brilliant one to take on holiday as it’s quite compact and the pans are pretty big! Volume I of the palette is also gorgeous but a bit more out there with tones of red, gold and orange which I thought must make it much more suitable for darker skin tones as I’d look a bit ridiculous with these on my face!

I want my next purchase from Juvias Place to be their Magic palette! Beauty Bay have recently added 3 of their palettes to their site but unfortunately Magic is nowhere to be seen yet! Is there anything from them that catches your eye?

’Til next time,

Woo those colours make your eyes pop! I adore what you’ve done with it, crazy that it’s actually a blush palate and you’re using it as an eyeshadow. I suppose you might use it quicker though as you’ll be using it as blush and eyeshadow. I feel exactly the same regarding Bath and Body Works, why is it soo expensive to get their products over here! I’m glad you managed to get it reasonbly cheap.

This is such a gorgeous palette, and I love versatility! I’ve wanted to try one of their eyeshadow palettes for just about forever, as they look so pigmented, and this looks exactly the same.. ?

The look you’ve created is stunning! I love that you’ve used it as eyeshadow because I never wear blush, my cheeks are naturally super rosy, so this is a great alternative. All the shades are stunning x
