It’s so hard to believe it’s September already and we’ve already got through two thirds of the year, I’ve been buying a few bits and bobs to add to my A/W wardrobe including a gorgeous pale pink faux fur coat so I’m super excited for the weather to finally get to a point where I can wear it.
Okay so I know what you’re thinking, “didn’t she review some multi colour mascaras a few posts ago?!” you’re correct BUT as you’ll know if you read that post, I’m so into colour mascaras and quirky coloured looks at the moment and I picked these up super recently and just had to tell you about them for a few reasons – also I’ve never included anything by Kiko on my blog before and I actually really love their makeup. Just incase you’ve never heard of or bought anything from Kiko Milano , they’re a really affordable brand with great quality products and a great reputation as far as I know, they’re also cruelty free with a lot of vegan products.
While I was in store the other day, they had a few bits on sale including these colour mascaras for only £1 each. In all honesty, for that kind of price I wasn’t expecting them to be any good at all but they had two fabulous colours that caught my eye and for the tiny price of £2 for both, I couldn’t not pick them up. Also being with Laura who is the worst influence for convincing me to spend money didn’t help either…
The colours I picked up were “01 Violet” and “06 Lawn Green”, as the purple L’oreal mascara that I was so looking forward to didn’t live up to my expectations, I had a tiny hope that this one might, AND IT DID.
On first impression, the wands for these screamed out as being quite cheap looking and like it wouldn’t pick up much product but once applying to the lashes, it works like a dream. I am super impressed with the pigment of this mascara, the longevity (it stays on all day and doesn’t flake) and the fabulous length it gives to my lashes aswell as a coat of fabulous and funky colour.
Here is the violet:
And here is the lawn green:
I’m not too sure whether this mascara is being discontinued or whether it’s just on a random sale from the brand but it has brilliant reviews on the website and is available in quite a few other colours too like blue, burgundy, a darker green etc. I’m really tempted to go back and pick up some more whilst they’re still so cheap or before they (possibly) get rid of them *sad face*. At the original price of £5.90 they weren’t even that expensive anyway! But I’ve also seen that they do a “super colour” eye liner too in an array of colours so a few of those are definitely going on my wishlist.
What are your favourite Kiko products? I feel like I definitely need to branch out and try more from this brand!
