A little valentines product review today from the one and only Lush. I don’t tend to feature a lot of Lush products on here as I think they’re so widely spoken about that people won’t really care about what I have to say. This bomb just looked super cool and seeing as I don’t have a lot of Valentines content planned, it seemed a pretty perfect fit.
The scent of this one is sweet. It reminds me of a really super sickly bag of retro hard boiled sweets but with an ever so slight floral undertone. I would compare it to the highly loved Parma Violet scent! I can only assume the scent comes from the most widely advertised ingredients which are Sicilian Lemon and Organic Sweet Orange oils alongside Rose oil which would be the subtle undertone I mentioned. I can’t get over how adorable the shape and colour of this bomb is, I LOVE it. The colours are very bubblegum-like and the heart on the front is just like the cherry on top of a cake.
On putting it into the bath, it did the classic Lush thing of releasing an outwards burst of initial colour. No surprises as it was the typical blue, pink and yellow that were advertised on the outside of the bomb. It sailed round the bath like a normal boat which was honestly the sweetest thing and left a little rainbow trail behind it before capsizing and melting gradually into the water.
The bath was left with a creamy layer of colour on the surface and bright pink water with small particles of glitter floating through it. The glitter in this doesn’t transfer on to the skin though so this is definitely a bomb for people who love a bit of sparkle but not so much that it remains anywhere after getting out of the bath. Although the scent is a tad too sweet for my liking, I love this bath bomb and think it’s a really great design. I would happily purchase this again!
Being suitable for Vegans too, this would be a perfect cute little present for any bath or pamper lover. Have you tried any of the Lush Valentines range yet? What is your favourite product from it?
