The Lush Love Boat Bath Bomb!

28th January 2018

Hey everyone!

A little valentines product review today from the one and only Lush. I don’t tend to feature a lot of Lush products on here as I think they’re so widely spoken about that people won’t really care about what I have to say. This bomb just looked super cool and seeing as I don’t have a lot of Valentines content planned, it seemed a pretty perfect fit.

The scent of this one is sweet. It reminds me of a really super sickly bag of retro hard boiled sweets but with an ever so slight floral undertone. I would compare it to the highly loved Parma Violet scent! I can only assume the scent comes from the most widely advertised ingredients which are Sicilian Lemon and Organic Sweet Orange oils alongside Rose oil which would be the subtle undertone I mentioned. I can’t get over how adorable the shape and colour of this bomb is, I LOVE it. The colours are very bubblegum-like and the heart on the front is just like the cherry on top of a cake.

On putting it into the bath, it did the classic Lush thing of releasing an outwards burst of initial colour. No surprises as it was the typical blue, pink and yellow that were advertised on the outside of the bomb. It sailed round the bath like a normal boat which was honestly the sweetest thing and left a little rainbow trail behind it before capsizing and melting gradually into the water.

The bath was left with a creamy layer of colour on the surface and bright pink water with small particles of glitter floating through it. The glitter in this doesn’t transfer on to the skin though so this is definitely a bomb for people who love a bit of sparkle but not so much that it remains anywhere after getting out of the bath. Although the scent is a tad too sweet for my liking, I love this bath bomb and think it’s a really great design. I would happily purchase this again!

Being suitable for Vegans too, this would be a perfect cute little present for any bath or pamper lover. Have you tried any of the Lush Valentines range yet? What is your favourite product from it?

It is so fabulous, sometimes I think their products are overpriced but I honestly can justify this one with how cute it is! X

  10. Oh how cute is this bath bomb?! I love that it’s shaped like a boat so it sails around the water – it’s the little things right?! The scent sounds lovely, although I am intolerant to both Lemon and Orange so I wouldn’t be able to use this one! I love that it has glitter in that doesn’t transfer onto the skin xo

  11. Lush truly know how to make gorgeous products. They always bring so much creativity to their bath products. I always feel like taking relaxing baths just so I have an excuse to purchase their bath bombs. x

The boat design is super cute! I love how creative the design is and the bubblegum colours look really cool. I’m not sure how keen I’d be on the actual scent because I don’t really like floral smells but hopefully the sweetness overpowering it wouldn’t be as bad. I wanna go and have a smell in Lush now! x

I ended up spending a crazy amount of money on the Lush Christmas products so I decided not to purchase anything from the Valentine’s Day collection. I might be going to the city which has the nearest Lush store to me next week so I might grab a product or two but I’ll try and resist the urge 😀 x

Haha I don’t blame you! They can be pretty pricey and sometimes I don’t feel like they’re worth the almost £5 per bath :/ this cute one was deffo worth it though! x
