Make Up Revolution Ultra Pro Glow Highlight Palette!
7th January 2018
Welcome to my second makeup review and third post of the year! I intend to keep the ball rolling with makeup posts this year and there’s nothing more motivating than a shiny new product to try, am I right? The lovely Abbie from my Blogger Babes chat ended up with me to buy for in our Secret Santa recently. We set a £15 limit including postage and these are the beautiful bits she got for me…
Of course I had to review this one at least. I recently did a post on the Ultra Cool Glow palette here and said that I think a more goldy toned palette would suit me better, which this is! I’m so excited to have both of them to compare.
At first glance, I imagine this palette would be a winner for most people. It’s got a few lighter shades and some really lovely yellow-golds and rose-golds for different skin tones. It also has a darker brown in the right bottom corner that you could even use as a bronzer if you’re as pale as me. None of the colours are out there or intimidating like the Cool Glow palette so I think this one is definitely more of a safe-bet for anyone.
So let’s talk about the product…
Unlike the Cool Glow palette, on application it glided on perfectly and gave a gorgeous glow with just a swipe or two of the brush. I found all the colours to be super pigmented and creamy to my pleasant surprise. I decided to use the pink and brown on the bottom row as blush/contour shades and they blended together beautifully on my cheeks. I definitely think this is going to replace the Peach Blush Palette that is currently in my makeup bag as my staple every day contour kit. I think it gives a beautiful finish and is so build-able aswell if you want a more dramatic look for an evening.
Would I recommend it?
Hell yes! I love the diversity of the shades, i think it’d work well for every skin tone. I was a bit skeptical about the bottom row as highlighters at first as I’m so pale but I’m actually even more thrilled to use them as contour shades as now I won’t have to carry more products round if it’s all in one palette! I absolutely love it, although it isn’t a blinding highlight it gives such a beautiful glow to the skin. Perfect for day to day wear!
Have you tried this palette or anything similar? What drugstore highlighters are your favourites?
