Miss Patisserie Rainbow River Bath Ball!

3rd January 2018

Hey everyone!

Happy New Year and welcome to the first post of 2018 on Black Tulip Beauty! I have lots of new ideas coming to the blog this year but I thought I’d kick it off with one of the things I love the most: bath products! So this is a new brand that i’ve never featured or even tried before. Miss Patisserie are an up and coming “Honest Vegan Skincare” brand. Their aim is to use lots of natural ingredients and make bath and body products for ethical women everywhere today.

I’ve been eyeing up their mango bath slab for a while as my other half loves mango. When I saw the luxury bath products were on 3 for 2 in Boots just before Christmas, I thought why not buy him the slab for his stocking and treat myself to two bits? I picked up the Rainbow River and Twinkle Bath Balls as they were the most colourful and jumped out at me. I’ll more than likely put a review up of the Twinkle Bath Ball soon too so keep your eyes peeled!

Upon dropping the ball into the bath, it immediately released an array of colours and spread out to almost completely fill the bath with pink, blue and yellow foam living up to rainbow in its name. The ball continuously kept spinning until it was all dissolved and left the water a strong, royal blue. The scent also spread out beyond the bath and made the entire bathroom smell super pretty.

Referring back to the website again, it’s described as a being filled with “peace, relaxation and serenity”. I’ve got to say, I did feel super sleepy and calm afterwards and I would definitely recommend this as a bath product to use before bed. It’s a shame I didn’t have some Lush Sleepy to apply afterwards which I REALLY want to try soon!

I would definitely recommend this product. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that I didn’t feel any sort of moisture left on my skin afterwards which is probably one of my favourite things about using bath bombs. Miss Patisserie do also sell bath melts too though so I imagine they would be the more moisturising ones! I can’t wait to try more products after using this one.

Have you tried anything from Miss Patisserie? What is your favourite smaller bath product brand? I love trying new things!

’Til Next time,

Wow, it’s so colorful, love it! 🙂
The colours make me relaxed just by looking at them. 🙂

  2. Ooh this looks like a fab brand! I don’t have bath’s that often so I don’t get round to buying or using bath bombs and bath melts, I love the look of this one though and it makes the water look really pretty!! I also love that more skincare brands are becoming vegan and/or cruelty free 🙂 xo

Woah this looks so good! It looks so similar to Intergalactic by Lush. The bath melts sound good too, especially if these aren’t that moisturising xx

I love how colourful this bath bomb is! Relaxing bath bombs are definitely my fave as I always have a bath before I go to sleep. You should definitely try Lush Sleepy. I usually have a hard time falling asleep but I’ve been using it for a while now and it really helps 🙂 x

  11. I’ve never tried this brand before, I’ve used mainly Lush and Hex bombs but this Rainbow bomb is reminiscent of the Integalactic Lush Bomb in colour. I have never seen this brand so I’ll have to go and have a look in Boots so I can try this out. Thank you so much for sharing with us and I hope hubby likes his Mango one! #TeacupClub

I’m not really into bath bombs but I had to read this because oh my God those colours are incredible!! Shame about the lack of moisture though. The melts sound interesting x

Omg I couldn’t have a bath without one now, they’re so lush! I definitely want to try the melts after trying this 🙂 X

  14. What an absolutely beautiful bath this created! Literal heart eyes right here! Honest vegan skincare is definitely something I can get on board with, I’m doing veganuary right now and really enjoying it, so I need to go through my skincare and smellies collection to see what’s vegan-friendly when considering repurchases! A bit of a shame that this didn’t leave you feeling super moisturised, a nice body butter would certainly sort that out though! Fab post as always, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Hi, I just love the bright colours I am not sure I would consider it though if it didn’t add any moisture to the skin. Thanks for the honest review.

  16. Bexa says:

Nothing better than a good old bath bomb, the more colourful the better in my opinion! Deffo gonna pick this up

  19. One of the things I would love to have in a flat when I move out is a bath so that I can try all of these amazing bath bombs that you keep reviewing! Is that sad? haha x

    • blacktulipbeauty says:

Me and my partner could no way live without a bath, it’s one of the only ways I can relax haha! That’s not sad at all 🙂 X

  20. I’ve never tried anything from this brand, and didn’t even realise that Boots sold them?! ? Such a good idea to buy a couple treats for yourself while buying presents, which is basically all I did throughout December.. ???‍♀️ This looks absolutely gorgeous, and the pictures in the water look like it too! You definitely need to try Sleepy, I have a feeling you’ll love it.. ?

    • blacktulipbeauty says:

I didn’t realise either, I was so chuffed I didn’t have to pay for postage haha! I do it too much girl, but treating yourself is fun! It definitely lives up to the rainbow name 🙂 I can’t wait to try it, I hope it works for me! X

  21. Sophia says:

Ohh I love how colourful it is! I’ve only ever tried Lush bath bombs, and I’m so addicted lol but I sometimes feel like they can be a little pricey haha think I’ll give these a go too though! Xx

I hadn’t heard of this brand until now but I’ll have to have a search for them in Boots! I would love the mango slab as well as mango is my fave. I wanna try Lush Sleepy so much but I just can’t justify the price of Lush anymore! It’s great that more affordable bath products are coming out lately x

    • blacktulipbeauty says:

The mango slab smells incredible! Jake has been loving it 🙂 Yeah i get what you mean but I really need something to help me sleep at the mo! X

  23. Leslie says:

I need to try this now! I am on bird with anything that helps me sleep and feel serene!

  24. Alicia says:

Wow what a wonderful bath bomb! I wish I could smell it. I always see these products in boots and always want to try them but I just always go to lush, I really should give other bath bombs a go xx

    • blacktulipbeauty says:

You should deffo try some other brands out, especially smaller ones! They could be the next Lush 🙂 Xx

  25. Gemma says:

I am actually on the search for new bath bombs, I love LUSH but feel they are just a bit too expensive. I feel these could be a good replacement and still give you a good feeling. I must go into Boots and pick them up! A 3for2 offer makes them even better, that’s great!

    Gemma | http://www.anoceanglimmer.wordpress.com

    • blacktulipbeauty says:

Yeah I feel you there, Lush are brilliant but I wish they were a little cheaper or at least had some deals on or even a points card to make them a bit more worth while! X
