I recently reviewed the Rainbow River Bath Ball from a vegan brand called Miss Patisserie. As it seemed to prove quite popular I thought I’d also review the other bath ball I picked up in the Boots 3 for 2 offer! If you want to have a look at my other review you can find that here. One of my aims this year is to increase my support of smaller cosmetic brands and although Miss Patisserie aren’t technically “small” as they are being sold in Boots, they’re no Lush. Although, lets face it, who is? But I feel we need some more cosmetic brands breaking through the “big” barrier as there is so much potential in SO many brands! Including my all time favourites Bomb Cosmetics.
The bath ball I’ll be reviewing today is called “Twinkle”, I imagine because the colour scheme of it sort of looks like the sky and because it has cute little stars on the top of it as you can see. The scent is sort of like a warming musk, i’d definitely describe it as a pre-sleep scent as it’d be perfect to send you off to sleep.
On popping Twinkle in the bath, it didn’t make as much of a scene as Rainbow River. It did however release lots of different deep shades of blue and turn the bath into some sort of Winter night sky. It kept spreading out until the ball was completely melted and then all merged together to create a turquoise colour. As much as I love a good colourful bath bomb, this was really intriguing and mystical and I loved the shade of the bath. It reminded me a bit of those really sickly sweet american sodas!
I did also feel like Twinkle was more nourishing and softening than Rainbow River which is always a plus. Like I’ve said in recent posts, one of my absolute favourite things about bath bombs is the soft and silky residue left on your skin afterwards. Twinkle gets a big thumbs up from me and I’d recommend giving it a try if you want something calming and comforting before bed.
What do you think of Miss Patisseries products? Have you tried any yet?
