I know, I know. I’m extremely late to the party. This palette genuinely only really started appealing to me a month or two before Christmas. I didn’t see the hype at all when it first came out, hence why I never owned it. It was the same with the Naked Heat palette launch although I still don’t think that’ll ever be something I purchase. This is due to the amount of other warm-toned palettes I have that are generally better quality than any Urban Decay ones I’ve ever tried (sorry, I do still like UD products though).
Morphe have to be my all time favourite brand for eyeshadows, one of the first posts I put out there was why a Morphe palette is an absolute must-have. They’re averagely affordable, diverse, highly pigmented and hold a huge range of colours. I had the highly praised 35O and the gorgeous 35F palettes before realising I wanted this beauty. I thought the array of different colours on offer was interesting and would push me to start incorporating more colour into my looks with the blue shades in the bottom left corner.
After a little bit of hinting and eye-lash fluttering, it appeared in my pile of Christmas presents from Jake. I’m not going to lie, it took me a good while to actually bring myself to use it as it was just SO pretty to look at untouched. It came in a white box and the design of the actual palette isn’t hard plastic like the other Morphe palettes I have. It’s a little more luxury looking and feeling which is to be expected for the extra price charged for it.
I’ve got to say, I have tried a few looks with the blues/greens and I feel they personally just don’t seem to suit me. I’m not sure whether it’s the colour in general or just these shades that aren’t for my skin tone but I’m a little gutted. I’m determined to find a look or two that I like doing with them though, so you can keep up to date with any new makeup stuff on my Instagram. I however cannot fault any of the things I’ve mentioned before, the pigment, the shade range and diversity. The quality of this palette is as brilliant as ever and lives up to the wonderful Morphe standard.
I have always been much more of a sucker for the warm toned colours in palettes, hence why I already owned two of the most red-inspired palettes that Morphe offer! I feel like reds and oranges can give off quite a gothic and daring vibe too which is what I personally like about them. Overall this palette gets a brilliant review from me. I don’t think I could really fault it and I definitely think it’s worth the price tag as I think Morphe undercharge for their palettes anyway (although I’m super happy they do, please don’t raise the prices, ha!). I’ve also just dyed my hair orange, so I used the yellow from this palette and a NYX coloured liner to create this look:
What’s your favourite Morphe palette? Do you have a go to range of eyeshadow colours you stick to normally?
