So we are home from Greece (booooo) but it’s always kind of nice to be back in your own bed isn’t it? I am already missing waking up next to and seeing Jake every day though. Luckily I have a lot to look forward to over the next few months so hopefully my post-holiday blues won’t be too bad. I won’t give too much away as to what I have coming up but I’m sure it’ll all be documented either here on the blog or over on my Instagram! I have my birthday, another holiday and some fabulous events and collaborations that I am REALLY looking forward to. Also be sure to enter my giveaway on my Facebook or Twitter that ends in one week today!
Anyway, I’m back and ready to share some fabulous pictures of the bits and bobs I was sporting on the beach that two lovely brands kindly sent me! I’m really loving doing fashion posts recently and it seems you guys have been enjoying them too so I hope you like these just as much. I’m not the smallest lady but I’m probably the most confident and comfortable with my body I’ve ever been which I’m really proud of myself for. If you’re going to be offended by me showing a bit of skin or a body that isn’t a size 0 or airbrushed to oblivion, please do not read any further. Without further ado…
Funnily enough, the lady behind this range is actually a fashion blogger herself, the lovely Caroline Einhoff! The range is a recent addition to the Hunkemöller site and contains a range of swimwear in white, burgundy and light pink, a beautiful playsuit and a few novelty bits like a blow up pink sea shell and a flower crown. I had the chance to choose what I wanted to receive from this range. Being daring and actually going for a piece of swimwear rather than the playsuit was a huge thing for me as I’m usually one to cover up at all costs but I fell in love with this one piece and its individual and quirky style.
Obviously I don’t look half as good as the slim and sexy Caro and I look or pose nothing like a model (I wouldn’t even know where to begin!?) but it honestly makes me feel so surprisingly confident baring a bit more skin than usual and I feel the material and shape of the swimsuit accentuates my curves really nicely. Look at me blowing my own trumpet?! Burgundy is a fabulous universal colour as it’s dark and slightly slimming like black but it has that bit of rich colour to it too that compliments every skin tone.
They also have two types of Entangled bikinis that are beautifully designed much like the one piece so if you’re heading out on holiday this Summer and are looking for some gorgeous and girly swimwear that has a bit of an edge, head over to their site here to have a browse of the range! Hunkemöller also do a ton of other gorgeous products for women like lingerie and loungewear.
Miss Tunica hold SO many beautiful designs that it really was a challenge for me to only pick one. The last two I came down to were this one and the Maya Deep Leopard which is a gorgeous leopard print tunic with silver detailing on the V shaped plunge neck. Sticking with the theme of going out of my comfort zone, I went for the one that was a little less “me”! The colours also coincide beautifully with the Entangled swimsuit having burgundy running through it so they were a DREAM to wear together.
I had to go for a shorter one due to being short myself so I’m sure I would’ve tripped over the long cover-ups haha! Miss Tunica also kindly sent me a black slip dress to pop on underneath the tunic just incase we were going straight from the beach to dinner. I think this such a brilliant idea to offer and was a lovely addition to the package! This made it sort of double up as beachwear and a beautiful floaty casual dress.
The gold detailing on the neckline is so sturdy and such good quality too and the colours pair so well with the design. I wasn’t actually expecting there to be so much detailing but it’s so intricate and pretty! I’ve never had a beach cover-up as high quality and damn right pretty as this before and I’m sure I’ll be wearing this for many holidays to come! You can check out all of Miss Tunicas wonderful Tunics here and they also do some gorgeous accessories including anklets and body jewellery.
Have you tried anything from either of these brands? I am really excited to treat myself to some luxurious lingerie from Hunkemöller now as they have some beautiful pieces. The tunic will also for sure be in my suitcase for my little Italian getaway in June too!
