Half of me thinks I should probably try and reign in my obsession with bath products, the other half of me loves it. I excused this haul with the reason that I A) deserved a post-surgery treat and B) was supporting an independent business when buying from them which makes it okay, right? You guys also can’t judge me when I tell you that this is only actually half of the haul. The post displaying other half will be following soon.
The company is called Posh Brats, they’re UK based and make some of the coolest shaped bath bombs! I’m pretty sure some of their stock is seasonal and their availability is obviously dependent on what they’ve been making. For this reason you may not find some of these bits on their website all year round but I’m sure if you see something you like you can give them an email and they’d be happy to help you out in any way they can. Onto my fabulous haul…
This one is super sweet, glitter galore and almost too big to hold in my hand. It’s quite literally like a princess bomb, every little girls dream. The scent is parma violet and marshmallow mixed with undertones of vanilla and cream soda (told you it was sweet). The colours are a gorgeous shimmery marbled effect of pink and purple with flecks of blue throughout. By far one of the most exciting bombs in the package and I’ll be saving it for a special occasion to use!
Despite being a little bath fizzer, this one packs a punch. It’s a super gorgeous and strong berry scent with some fresh and fruity notes underneath. The appearance of it is different tones of purples marbled and the whole thing covered in glitter. These are a perfect little add-on gift or stocking filler for the price and quality!
This one definitely doesn’t smell like expected. I thought it’d be a strong berry scent but it’s actually very perfumed and musky with fragrances such as frankincense, rose, jasmine and sweet orange. It looks like some sort of pink nebula bomb as it’s marbled and I’m really quite looking forward to seeing what kind of effect this one has.
I’d brand this more as a little bath fizzer than a bomb or anything else. The fragrance is very milky and I wouldn’t say I could pick up much lavender cutting through but who knows, it may release more of a scent when used. It’s very much prominently vanilla and coconut with a light musk overtone. The appearance of it is really quite cool with pastel marbled colours and what I can only assume is leaves of lavender plant on top.
The cuteness of this one makes me squeal a bit inside. I’m such a Hello Kitty fan, even at 22 years old. The scent is absolutely gorgeous, I never knew chocolate and rose would go so well together. It’s made me wonder what actual rose chocolate would taste like. There’s also a very light musk and sweet element to it which makes it really quite an intriguing bomb. By far one of my favourites from the haul!
The fact that this is a bubble bomb is super intriguing and isn’t the design cute? The tail is an ombré yellow into green with lots of little flecks of glitter and a rich blue base with white piping on top. I have a feeling this bomb will be impressive and fun to see in the tub with the colour of the base and tail that is made of natural soap. It’s a very fresh and subtle scent which is to be expected being water inspired.
This shaped bath bomb really did not want to stand up, I tried my best…but how COOL is the shape!? It’s described on the website as a scent containing many fruits like blackberry, apricot, strawberry and sweet pear. The scent of this one is a lot different than I thought it’d be, the earthy base notes definitely break through a lot stronger than I thought they would and I’d say with a slight hint of musk, too? It’s definitely quite a witchy scent which is one of the things I like so much about it!
This is SUCH a cool design and I’m really impressed how it’s stayed upright and really quite sturdy to be honest. It lasts for 2-4 baths just like a bubble bar from Lush so I’m guessing you use it in a really similar way. The scent is extremely fruit as you can probably tell, the most prominent probably being strawberry and raspberry in my opinion.
This is quite a dark bomb but it’s predominantly pinky purple so I thought it could go in this half of the haul. I’m not usually a fan of any sort of aniseed/liquorice scent/food/you name it. This one has quite a prominent aniseed vibe to it but I actually quite like it mixed with the dark berry aroma. The fact that this is a skull on a coffin satisfies all of my witchy dreams! I’m very excited to see what this is like in the bath.
This one is a little similar to the other skull one scent-wise but I’d say Prom Queen is a bit more spicy and floral. It’s covered in red glitter too making it a lot more exciting. The top notes are fruity, mid notes of cinnamon and rose and of course some under tones of musk to make it a bit witchy again. (I also had to hold this one up as it wouldn’t stand up on the table!)
Will you be buying from some independent companies this Christmas? Or even Posh Brats?
