Man am I EXCITED to upload this post. If only I could go back and tell the 13 year old Alice that thought she was the most ugly, fat and repulsive girl in her year that she was going to be collaborating with an international fashion brand in her early twenties. I don’t say it enough but I’M SO PROUD OF ME. Now that I’ve got that out the way… I recently had a glorious meltdown when Boohoo got in contact and asked me to take part in their transitional campaign! I got to choose a complimentary dress to style for the upcoming Spring and Summer seasons and I thought what’s better than one you can dress up or down for pretty much anything?
I decided to go for the gorgeous Clary Star Embroidered Tie Strap Shift Dress in “Paprika”. It’s lined well, made with sturdy material and the detail in the embroidery is so gorgeous, especially for the bargain price of £22! Aside from being a stunning dress, it’s also extremely comfy, cool and comes up just above the knee for 5ft 3 me – perfect!
Although I’d happily wear it in all of the three colours it’s available in, it’s a huge taboo to wear white to a wedding and you’d probably end up overheating in black on a sunny day so red seemed like the ideal choice for getting the most wear out of it. I thought I’d choose three different occasions to style this dress for to make this post hopefully relatable for everyone. I know the last one isn’t the most common for a lot of people but hey, what would this post be without some authentic Alice style thrown in? Hope you enjoy!
We all love date night. I’d class this look as perfect for anything from a fancy meal with your fella, cocktails with the girls or your uni summer ball. For accessorising this style, I’ve gone for some simple rose gold jewellery. Paired with a fabulous furry cardigan and some gorgeous black and red heels, you’re good to go! Oh, and don’t forget a little over-the-shoulder bag or clutch to complete the whole look (because I did in these photos).

I’m sure if you’re an outdoorsy or sociable person, you’ll be attending at least one picnic or BBQ this Summer! What better than wearing your staple summer dress? For something as casual as this you don’t always need to majorly accessorise but I decided to pop on some boho-styled wooden earrings. Although hopefully it won’t be needed, you may want to take along a light shawl or cardigan to keep your shoulders warm or covered from the rays! As it is Summer, I decided to match the sun and choose a yellow one. Along with some adorable little red sandals with a small bow on top. For a style like this, I’d just take along your average tote bag to keep your phone, keys, some change for the ice cream van and a sandwich or two in.

Well this is obviously going to be my favourite look of the bunch! Just to say as a highly experienced rock gig goer, this outfit would only be suitable if you’re seated or stood RIGHT at the back not engaging in the crowd or the pit. If you’re going to be brave and wear a dress to a standing rock gig and are going to get in the crowd/pit, WEAR SOME SHORTS UNDERNEATH. Fishnets are inevitable really, they add a bit of an edge to any outfit and keep you cool in a busy venue without baring all. They always look fabulous paired with black chunky boots and leather is guaranteed to make anyone look a bit more badass.
