Something a little different on the blog today, I feel like I’m saying that a lot recently? It seems to be working though as my views are still steadily increasing and my demographic is getting wider – woohoo! I’m a sucker for cute homeware, especially anything sentimental so receiving a complimentary canvas from CanvasChamp was something I was not going to say no to! As Jake and I would really love to have moved in together by the end of next year too, I thought it’d be a great opportunity to get an early central wall piece for our future home.
The ordering process was super easy and you’re given a multitude of options throughout the process to personalise the perfect canvas for your home. You start by choosing the size of your canvas with the prices displayed or you can also enter custom measurements if you have a particular sized space in your home that needs filling. The canvas I have here is the 16” (40cm) x 20” (50cm) and it’s big enough to accentuate a room but not be overpowering.
After this, you can also explore a few other options than a regular canvas like a split canvas or hexagon prints which would look pretty damn funky in a more modern setting. You then simply upload your photo(s). Obviously the better quality your image is to begin with, the better it will come out on the canvas so be sure to use a decent one.
The next step is choosing the wrap and border of your canvas which has suitable options for all. I chose the “image wrap” option for mine as I thought it looked the most natural and faded the picture out nicely on the edges. You choose your favourite before then ending with the choice of the finish of your print and any editing or retouching you may want done to your image. There you have it, all you have left is the task of parting with your money!
I ordered this canvas at 5pm on a Tuesday and it arrived early the following Sunday. I personally found the delivery process brilliant for a few reasons. 1) It was a SUNDAY!? And a bank holiday Sunday at that. I never expect parcels on Sundays for obvious reasons so it was a nice surprise – what dedication. 2) Four days is a pretty decent amount of time for a personalised canvas to be printed and delivered in. 3) It was boxed, packaged and bubble wrapped really securely and arrived in perfect condition.
As I mentioned, I got this canvas for free for the purpose of this review but it would’ve cost around £20 had I paid for it. I’ll be honest, at first I was thinking “a decent sized canvas at this price?!”. I wasn’t expecting much from it but boy was I wrong. The material used for the canvas is super sturdy and thick and is stretched perfectly straight over the wooden frame (I’ve seen some pretty shoddy excuses for mounting in the past). I’ve actually knocked it quite a few times since it arrived, being the clumsy person I am and it hasn’t left any sort of dent or mark on it.
The wooden frame is perfectly put together and there’s a small hook on the back all ready for hanging wherever you want it. The image is also vibrant, sharp and still holds all the detail you’d expect it to. I actually don’t really have anything bad to say about it at all other than it’s really made me want to buy more.
I’d really highly recommend Canvaschamp for both the ease of the ordering process and the quality of the finished product. They’ve got so many choices for different quirky and personal designs to make your house more of a home. Or even if you’re looking for a more sentimental gift, they’ve got you covered with great prices and quality products.
Have you got a canvas of you and your partner in your home?
